Travelling to Boomerang 2008

Arrival day for participants will be Sunday 10th of August 2008.

Departure day for participants will be Saturday 16th of August 2008.

Vässarö's boats will be picking people up from two docks, Strömsviken at Singö/Ellan and from Öregrund. You will need to arrange transport to the docks yourselves.

The easiest dock to get to is Strömsviken, but if you come from the north, we can arrange a boat from Öregrund.

To make the check in, boats and transportations work smoothly we want you to inform us

how and when you will arrive to the docks, and also to which dock. This information should

be provided to international@boomerang2008.se. We also want you to inform us when you plan to leave the island at the end of camp, so we can help you get to your flights and trains on time.

Public transportation from Stockholm to Strömsviken

This alternative works great when you arrive from Stockholm and Norrtälje. There will be four buses on the arrival and departure day. Since we need to inform the bus company

approximately how many will be traveling on each bus, it is very important that you inform us at international@boomerang2008.se if you plan to travel with the public transportation

system. The bus stop in Stockholm is called "Tekniska Högskolan" and the bus stop at Strömsviken is called "Ellans Vändplats" For prices and times visit

Own car

If you plan to come with your own car, the only parking we can provide is at the dock in "Strömsviken". The parking space is very limited and there will be a fee of SEK 100 per

vehicle. To avoid traffic jams at arrival we have decided arrival times for you. If you want to use this option, please contact us at international@boomerang2008 and we will let you know what time you can arrive.

Public transportation to Öregrund

The bus stop in Öregrund is named "Öregrunds färjeläger". To travel here you use "Upplands lokaltrafik", http://ul.se/en/. Going via Öregrund works if you arrive from the north. Since we

don't have any planned boats from Öregrund, it is very important that you let us know if you come this way, so we can arrange for a boat to pick you up.
